Item Description
Ensto KST3.100/U three-pole disconnect switch with a front toggle handle, rated 100 amps thermal current. The switch body carries its IEC utilization ratings: 100A under AC-22A duty at 415 and 500 volts and 80A at 690 volts, and 63A, 45A and 40A under the heavier AC-23A motor-switching duty at those same voltages. The U suffix is Ensto's UL/cUL listed North American version.
A toggle disconnect like this is used as the main isolating switch on machinery, pump and fan panels, heaters and small distribution boards, giving a visible on and off position for lockout during maintenance. The AC-23A figures matter when the switch will make and break a motor load directly, while AC-22A applies to mixed resistive and motor loads.
It mounts on a base plate inside an enclosure with the handle protruding through the cover, and wires to box-type terminals marked L1, L2 and L3 on the line side.
