Item Description
The GE LDX6SA440840VQ is a configured housing for the Lumination LDX Square Series, a 6 inch LED new construction recessed downlight from GE Lighting Solutions, now Current. The catalog number decodes as LDX family, 6S fixture type, A first generation, 4 for 277V input, 40 for 4000 nominal lumens, 8 for 82 CRI, 40 for 4000K color temperature, and VQ for 0-10V dimming control.
LDX downlights are powered by a twist-in LED downlight module that can be changed without tools as LED technology advances. In the GE spec sheet table the 4000 lumen standard CRI version delivers 4298 lumens at 47.6 watts, about 90 lumens per watt, with L85 lumen maintenance at 50,000 hours.
The housing is installed above the ceiling in new construction and is completed with an RDI6S series reflector and trim, ordered separately, plus BH3 hanger bars. It is used in offices, retail stores, lobbies, schools, healthcare and hospitality spaces on 277V lighting circuits, and replaces high wattage metal halide and compact fluorescent downlights. The 0-10V driver connects to standard low voltage dimming controls.
