The ZR18K5E-PFJ-130 is a hermetic, fixed-speed Copeland Scroll compressor for air conditioning, and the smallest unit in this group. It compresses refrigerant with a fixed-and-orbiting scroll pair sealed in a welded shell, runs at a single speed, and cycles on and off to match load. As a single-phase model it uses a run capacitor to start and run the motor. The ZR family is Copeland's scroll line for R22.

This model is built for R22 refrigerant and ships with POE lubricant, rated at about 1.5 tons (18,000 BTU/hr). It runs on 208-230 V single-phase, 60 Hz power and is used in small residential and light commercial systems. Because R22 compressors are no longer manufactured, this is a replacement part for legacy R22 equipment. In the Copeland code, ZR is the R22 scroll family, 18 the nominal capacity in thousands of BTU/hr, K5E the platform generation, and PFJ the motor code for 208-230 V single-phase, 60 Hz. It has published RLA, MCC, and LRA ratings, with 3/4 inch suction and 1/2 inch discharge connections.
