Item Description
The ZP38K5E-TFD-130 is a hermetic, fixed-speed Copeland Scroll compressor for air conditioning and heat pump systems. It uses scroll compression (a fixed and an orbiting spiral progressively compressing refrigerant toward the center) with the motor and scroll sealed inside a welded shell, replaced as a complete unit. It runs at one speed and cycles on and off to regulate capacity.
This model is built for R410A refrigerant with POE lubricant and rated at about 3.2 tons (38,100 BTU/hr). It runs on 460 V three-phase, 60 Hz power and is used in commercial air conditioning and heat-pump condensing units, rooftops, and packaged systems. In the Copeland code, ZP is the R410A scroll family, 38 the nominal capacity in thousands of BTU/hr, K5E the platform generation, and TFD the motor code for 460 V three-phase, 60 Hz.
