Johnson Controls VG1241FS+948GGA 2" 2-Way Brass Ball Valve 46.8 Cv with VA9208-GGA-2 24VAC Actuator

This is a Johnson Controls VG1241FS+948GGA control valve assembly: a 2 inch VG1000 series two-way ball valve with NPT ends and a 46.8 Cv equal percentage flow characteristic, factory mounted to a VA9208-GGA-2 proportional spring return electric actuator. In the catalog number, VG1241FS identifies the 2 inch, 46.8 Cv brass trim valve and the +948GGA suffix identifies the normally closed spring return proportional actuator package.

The forged brass valve body carries a 580 psig static rating and closes off against 200 psid, for water service from 23 to 203 deg F. The VA9208-GGA-2 runs on 24 VAC (7.9 VA running) or 24 VDC (3.5 W running), accepts a 0 to 10 VDC signal, or 2 to 10 VDC or 4 to 20 mA with a 500 ohm resistor, and returns a 0 to 10 VDC position feedback. It develops 70 lb-in of torque, strokes 90 degrees in 150 seconds, and springs closed in about 22 seconds on power loss. The -2 model has a plenum rated cable.

HVAC contractors and building automation technicians use this assembly to modulate hot or chilled water to air handler coils, fan coils and heat exchangers under control of a building management system.
