The Temprite 903 is a hermetic coalescent oil separator from Temprite's 900 Series, the line that set the performance standard for high-efficiency coalescent separation in refrigeration and air conditioning systems. Unlike conventional velocity-dependent separators, the 900 Series holds its rated efficiency down to 20 percent of maximum flow, separating and returning oil to the compressor at a nominal 98.5 percent efficiency. The 903 uses a matrix-type borosilicate glass-fiber coalescent filter that captures oil aerosol and contaminants as fine as 0.3 microns, protecting the compressor and improving overall system reliability and energy efficiency. Clean oil collects in the separator and returns to the compressor while clean refrigerant gas continues to the condenser. This unit features a 7/8 inch ODS inlet and outlet connection, a 15 oz (0.44 L) oil charge capacity, a maximum working pressure of 650 PSIG (45 Bar), and an internal volume of 1.73 L, with an operating temperature range of 0 C to 160 C. It is compatible with a wide range of refrigerants including R12, R22, R134a, R404A, R407C, R410A, R502, R507, and R744 (CO2). Manufactured in the U.S.A.
