Item Description
Bauer KA15-E3-P high-pressure reciprocating air compressor, built in September 1986 for the U.S. Department of the Army. It delivers 15 CFM at 3,500 PSI and runs on 3-phase 230/460 V, 60 Hz power. The compressor is belt driven by an electric motor and packaged on a steel skid with casters and corner lifting rings, with a stainless electrical enclosure, a fan-cooled finned cooler and separator filter housings.
High-pressure compressors in this class are used to fill SCBA cylinders for fire and rescue departments, SCUBA cylinders for dive shops, and other high-pressure air storage for industrial and testing work. If the unit will be used to fill breathing-air cylinders, the purification filters should be serviced and the output air quality tested before use.
