Item Description
This is a Flexline corrugated stainless steel braided metal hose assembly recorded as X6 series, Flexline's ultra high pressure 316 hose. Flexline builds specialty hose assemblies in stainless steel, PTFE, silicone and rubber for OEM, aerospace, distribution and industrial customers.
Flexline describes the X6 series as 316 stainless hose with 316 braid, using a heavy wall core and triple braid for 6000 psi working pressure applications. Published X6 sizes run from 1/4 inch ID, rated 6000 psi with 24000 psi burst, to 3/4 inch ID, rated 5000 psi with 20000 psi burst, and all sizes are rated for full vacuum. Flexline states the pressure ratings from cryogenic -320 F to +90 F.
Hose of this class is used where elastomer or single braid hose cannot hold the pressure or temperature, such as high pressure gas and hydrogen lines, cryogenic transfer, hydraulic test stands, gas cylinder and manifold connections, and high pressure process equipment. The 316 stainless construction also suits corrosive and high purity service. The size and end fittings on this assembly should be confirmed against the system it will serve.
