Item Description
The Gast K295 is the factory service kit for Gast Manufacturing's lubricated 2065 series rotary vane vacuum pumps and compressors, such as the 2065-V2A. Gast, based in Benton Harbor, Michigan, builds rotary vane, piston and diaphragm air products used across industry, and it packages rebuild parts for each pump family as a single kit number.
According to Gast, the K295 contains the vanes, bearings, filters, gaskets and seals needed to bring a lubricated 2065 unit back to its original factory performance specifications, and Gast recommends servicing these pumps every two years. Vanes are the main wear part in a rotary vane pump: as they wear, the pump loses vacuum level and flow, and worn bearings and shaft seals lead to noise and oil leaks. Replacing the full set at once restores internal clearances and sealing.
Lubricated 2065 series units are used on printing and paper handling equipment, packaging machines, woodworking and CNC vacuum hold down tables, and general plant vacuum and pressure service. Maintenance technicians and equipment service companies keep K295 kits on hand to rebuild these pumps rather than replace them.
