Item Description
Johnson Controls T-800-1011 replacement averaging element with a 15 foot capillary and an 8 foot sensing element, a direct replacement for the T-800, T-900, T-8000, and T-8500 pneumatic temperature controller families. Reference number 27-343-132.
An averaging element reads temperature along its whole 8 foot length rather than at a single point, which is what duct and plenum sensing requires: stratified air across a large duct cross-section would fool a point sensor, and the averaging capillary reports the true mixed temperature. The 15 foot capillary lets the controller sit well away from the duct.
These serve commercial HVAC pneumatic control systems - mixed air control, discharge air sensing, and coil freeze protection on air handlers - where the original Johnson Controls pneumatic loop is still in service and a failed element takes the control point out.
