Price Pump Company of Sonoma, California, builds close coupled and frame mounted centrifugal pumps, many in 316 stainless steel, for chemical, plating, water treatment, food and general industrial service.
A sleeve of this kind fits over the pump shaft where it passes through the seal area, so the mechanical seal runs against a replaceable sleeve rather than the shaft itself. When the seal faces or elastomers wear, replacing the sleeve along with the seal restores a clean sealing surface without replacing the motor shaft.
The 316 stainless material matches the wetted parts of Price stainless pumps and resists corrosion from many process liquids.
