Item Description
A piloted drill reamer with a .278 inch (7.06 mm) cutting diameter and an integral .270 inch (6.86 mm) pilot tip that guides the tool true as it sizes an already-drilled hole. It runs about 6 inches long with a spiral flute, made of high-speed steel (HSS).
The pilot enters the hole ahead of the cutting edges and keeps the reamer concentric, so the finished bore holds size and stays straight. The spiral flute clears chips smoothly on the cut, which suits deeper holes and combination drill-and-ream work common in aircraft and structural tooling. Use it in machine-shop hole finishing, production reaming, and MRO sizing where a precise diameter and a smooth bore are required.
