Item Description
This adjustable hand expansion reamer measures .473 inch, about 12mm, across the flutes by caliper, on an 11 inch overall length. The square drive shank takes a tap wrench for manual turning, and the expanding body adjusts under a set screw so the tool can be set to an exact final diameter.
As a hand reamer, it is turned slowly by hand to take a light finishing cut, sizing a drilled hole to a precise diameter with a smooth bore. The adjustable design lets one tool cover a small range of sizes for fitting and tool-room work.
