Item Description
Chucking reamer with a .2875 inch cutting diameter and an overall length of 2-5/16 inches, made from high-speed steel (HSS) with a TiN coating for added surface hardness. Marked as aircraft tooling under part number 375B854-278C5. A chucking reamer is held in a machine spindle and takes a light finishing cut to size an already-drilled hole to an exact diameter and smooth bore.
Used in machine-shop and production reaming to hold tight tolerances, with aircraft and aerospace assembly framing consistent with the marked aircraft tooling.
Single tool, new in box (NIB). New surplus, available from King Surplus inventory in Del Rio, Texas.
