Item Description
A 1/2 inch (.5000 inch) piloted HSS chucking reamer with a .4840 inch pilot, a spiral-flute cutting edge, a black oxide finish, and an 8-3/4 inch overall length. The pilot tip rides the already-drilled hole and guides the cutting edge true while the spiral flutes size the bore to an exact diameter.
The long reach and pilot guidance suit deep-hole reaming and aircraft or machine assembly work where the finished hole must stay concentric. The spiral flutes flush chips clear of the cut.
