Item Description
This is a high-speed steel piloted chucking reamer with a .3122 inch (7.9 mm) cutting diameter and a .2955 inch (7.5 mm) integral pilot, running spiral flutes over a 6 inch overall length. As a chucking reamer it is meant to run under power in a drill press, lathe, or mill, with the pilot keeping the cut tracking straight and the spiral flutes pulling chips clear of the bore.
The tool is marked Cleveland, a long-established US cutting-tool brand (part of Greenfield Industries). It brings a drilled hole to an exact finish diameter with a smooth wall, suited to machine-shop hole finishing and production reaming.
