Item Description
A Taper-Lok drill reamer, marked Mohawk, model TLD2040BR2-6, that combines drilling and reaming in one pass with spiral flutes. Taper-Lok is a real aerospace interference-fit fastener system, and this tool cuts the precise tapered hole those fasteners require for a controlled, load-bearing fit.
The combination drill-and-ream geometry sizes and finishes the hole in a single operation, and the spiral flutes clear chips up and out of the bore as it cuts. It is aircraft and aerospace fastener tooling, intended for structural assembly and MRO work where the hole must match the Taper-Lok fastener exactly.
