Item Description
Piloted chucking reamer with a .2310 inch (5.87 mm) cutting diameter and a .1700 inch pilot tip, ground from high-speed steel and finished with a TiN coating. Overall length is 4-1/2 inches. The pilot tip rides in a guide bore ahead of the cutting flutes to keep the reamer running true for a straight, concentric finished hole.
Marked Cook Drill Co. DD23A2 on the tool. A piloted reamer of this size brings an already drilled hole to a precise final diameter in machine and tool-room work, holding tight tolerance and a smooth bore for close-fitting pins and fasteners. The TiN coating adds surface hardness and reduces friction in production reaming.
Condition appears unused. New surplus, available from King Surplus inventory in Del Rio, Texas.
