Item Description
A piloted chucking reamer with a .1719 inch cutting diameter and an integral .1285 inch pilot, ground 4-1/2 inches long in TiN-coated high-speed steel. The pilot tip rides the existing bore and guides the cutting flutes true, holding the finished hole to size and concentricity. This is aircraft tooling marked 900K012-001C.
It is used to bring a drilled hole to final diameter with a smooth bore on aircraft and aerospace structural assembly, where fastener holes must be held to close tolerance. The TiN coating extends edge life in production reaming.
One reamer, appears unused. New surplus, available from King Surplus inventory in Del Rio, Texas.
