Item Description
Piloted machine reamer with a .2450 inch (6.22 mm) cutting diameter and a .2344 inch pilot tip, ground from high-speed steel with a TiN coating. Overall length is 6 inches. The pilot section guides the cutting flutes into the bore and keeps the reamer running true for a straight, concentric finished hole.
This tool is marked USA. A piloted reamer of this length brings a drilled hole to an exact final diameter in machine and tool-room work, holding close tolerance and a smooth bore for close-fitting pins and fasteners. The TiN coating adds surface hardness and reduces friction during production reaming.
