Southland 568-001NI 2" x Close Galvanized Steel Pipe Nipple, Schedule 40 Welded NPT

This is a Southland 2 inch by close galvanized steel pipe nipple, part of the 568 series of Schedule 40 galvanized nipples sold under the Southland brand by BK Products. A close nipple is the shortest standard nipple for a given pipe size, threaded along nearly its full length, and is used to join two female threaded fittings with the least possible spacing between them.

The nipple has 2 inch male pipe threads on both ends, cut to ANSI/ASME B1.20.1, so it mates with standard NPT fittings, valves and pipe of the same size. The zinc galvanized finish gives the steel corrosion resistance.
