Item Description
The ZR48K5E-TFD-130 is a hermetic, fixed-speed Copeland Scroll compressor for air conditioning and refrigeration. It compresses refrigerant with a fixed-and-orbiting scroll pair sealed in a welded shell, runs at a single speed, and cycles to match load. The ZR family is Copeland's scroll line for R22 (it is also compatible with R407C).
This model is built for R22 refrigerant and ships with POE lubricant, rated at about 4.0 tons (48,200 BTU/hr) with an 11.4 EER. It runs on 460 V three-phase, 60 Hz power and is used in commercial air conditioning and refrigeration equipment such as rooftop units, packaged systems, and walk-in applications. Because R22 compressors are no longer manufactured, this is a replacement part for legacy R22 systems. In the Copeland code, ZR is the R22 scroll family, 48 the nominal capacity in thousands of BTU/hr, K5E the platform generation, and TFD the motor code for 460 V three-phase, 60 Hz.
