Item Description
The Johnson Controls M9208-BGC-3 is a 24 volt, two position electric spring return actuator from the M9208 series, rated at 70 in-lb (8 Nm) of torque. It mounts directly on a damper shaft without a separate linkage and drives the damper open or closed on an on/off signal. When power is lost, the internal spring returns the damper to its fail safe position, which is why these actuators are used on outside air, smoke and freeze protection dampers.
The nameplate lists a 60 second powered run time, a 21 second spring return, 6.1 VA power draw on 24 VAC or VDC, and two built in auxiliary switches rated 5.0 (2.9) A at 240 VAC for end position signaling or interlocks. The BGC-3 suffix identifies the 24V on/off version with auxiliary switches. Distributors list 95 degrees of rotation, an IP54 enclosure and an operating range of -40 F to 140 F.
