The Henry F6308 Magni-Chek Valve (MS-8) is a 1/2" ODS magnetic check valve engineered for commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems. Manufactured by Henry Group Industries, a global refrigeration components maker established in 1914, the Magni-Chek line uses magnetic attraction rather than spring pressure to return the valve plate to its seat. Because the magnetic force diminishes as the plate travels away from the seat, the valve opens with progressively less resistance, resulting in lower pressure loss and more efficient flow than conventional spring-loaded check valves. The F6308 features a 100% copper body formed using Henry's Dura Form process, a braze-free manufacturing method that eliminates the overheating and internal damage associated with traditional brazing. The body is spun into shape with machined connections for a clean, leak-resistant joint. A built-in 30-mesh strainer protects downstream components from debris. Rated for safe working pressures up to 800 PSI (55 Bar) and an operating temperature range of -20F to +250F, the F6308 is compatible with R410A and other refrigerants and industrial fluids that are non-corrosive to copper and elastomers. It installs in multiple orientations while maintaining flow direction, making it a reliable backflow-prevention solution for HVAC and refrigeration line work.
