Sporlan E10S150-HP, Solenoid Valve Body, 5/8" ODF Solder Connections (Less Coil)

This is a Sporlan E10S150-HP refrigerant solenoid valve body, SVD item number 4340-00, supplied less coil. Sporlan is a division of Parker Hannifin based in Washington, Missouri, and makes refrigeration and air conditioning flow controls.

A solenoid valve opens and closes a refrigerant line on an electrical signal. This normally closed, pilot operated valve needs only 1 psi of differential to open fully, so Sporlan lists it for liquid line and suction line service. It operates once an MKC-1 coil is fitted, and the label states a maximum operating pressure differential of 450 psi and a maximum rated pressure of 1015 psi. The HP suffix marks the high pressure version of the E10 series, which Sporlan lists for R-410A.

The valve has a 5/16 inch port, a Cv of 2.06 and extended 5/8 inch ODF solder connections. The label lists nominal liquid line capacities of 13.3 tons on R-410A, 10.9 tons on R-22, 8.3 tons on R-134a and 7.2 tons on R-404A. HVAC and refrigeration technicians use it for pump-down control, zoning and evaporator shutoff in air conditioning, heat pump and commercial refrigeration systems.
