Leeson Electric of Wisconsin, now part of Regal Rexnord, builds fractional and integral horsepower motors common in pump and conveyor applications.
A 1 HP, 1725 RPM single-phase TEFC motor in a 56-type frame is one of the most widely used replacement motors in industry: centrifugal pumps, air compressors, fans and blowers, and light conveyor drives all spec this configuration. The totally enclosed fan cooled housing suits dusty shop and outdoor-sheltered environments. Because this motor is not thermally protected, overload protection must be provided in the motor circuit.
