Item Description
This is a pneumatic actuator assembly recorded as Pangborn part P000189-1, built from a Clippard miniature air cylinder marked 070-24-2 5/8 with a Clippard Maximatic MME-41PES solenoid valve mounted to it. Pangborn is a builder of abrasive blast cleaning and shot peening machines, and assemblies like this are used on those machines to open and close gates, dampers and media valves.
The MME-41PES is a 4-way, 5 port, single solenoid valve with 1/8 in NPT ports. Energizing the coil shifts the valve and directs air to one side of the cylinder, and de-energizing it returns the valve to its normal position so the cylinder reverses. The nameplate on this valve reads AC110V with an operating range of 93.5 to 126.5 volts, 2.5 VA coil power, 100% duty cycle and IP65 protection. Clippard lists replacement coil 27001-D110 for the 110 VAC DIN connector version.
