Item Description
This lot is Parker Hannifin 30 Series field attachable hydraulic hose fitting hardware, stamped PH-30 and 2W 3/8 with a No-Skive marking. Parker Hannifin makes hydraulic hose, fittings and fluid connectors, and its 30 Series is a line of reusable style fittings for use with Parker No-Skive hose.
A field attachable fitting is a two piece fitting, a socket and a nipple, that threads onto the hose with ordinary wrenches instead of being crimped in a hydraulic crimping machine. Because No-Skive hose does not need the outer cover cut back before assembly, the fitting can be installed quickly without the risk of skiving the cover too long or too short. Parker offers 30 Series fittings from 3/16 inch to 2 inch in many end configurations.
The 3/8 marking gives the hose inside diameter, and the 2W marking is the hose type designation the fitting is matched to, commonly a two wire braid hose. Mobile equipment mechanics, farm and construction service crews and plant maintenance technicians use field attachable fittings to make emergency hose repairs on site where a crimper is not available.
