Item Description
A high-speed steel piloted reamer with a .2455 inch cutting diameter, a .2344 inch pilot, straight flutes, a TiN coating, and a 5-1/2 inch overall length. The pilot tip guides the reamer true to the drilled hole while the straight flutes take a light finishing cut to bring the bore to exact size.
Straight-flute piloted reamers like this are used in tool-room sizing and machine-shop hole finishing where a precise diameter and a clean bore are required. The TiN coating adds surface hardness for repeated use.
