Item Description
The Custom Control Sensors 6710P20 is a Dual-Snap gauge pressure switch built by CCS of Chatsworth, California, a maker of pressure, temperature and flow switches for aerospace, defense, industrial and energy markets since 1958. CCS switches use the company's Dual-Snap disc spring mechanism, which gives a positive snap action and repeatable switching.
The nameplate on this unit lists an increasing pressure set point of 1900 psig, a 500 psi deadband and a 7500 psig proof pressure, which places it in high pressure hydraulic, gas or process service. The switch contacts are rated 11 amps and 1/4 horsepower at 125 or 250 VAC, 5 amps at 30 VDC and 0.5 amp at 125 VDC, so it can switch a pilot relay, alarm or small motor circuit directly. The FSCM 09049 marking is the federal supply code assigned to CCS for military and government parts.
Switches of this type are used on hydraulic power units, test stands, compressors, ground support equipment and oil and gas skids to signal high pressure alarms, start and stop pumps, or interlock equipment.
