Factory Information

This plant was built to screen off oversize pieces 1/16”+ from 50-200 mesh powder.

SYSTEM PROCESS FLOW:

  1. 30 gal – 55 gal drums of MIXED RAW MATERIAL are staged on the rolling floor conveyor. 1 by 1 the drums are moved into OVERHEAD DRUM HOIST DUMP area and the DRUM CAGE was attached to drum.
  2. The DRUM HOIST DUMPING system has 2 overhead hoists rated at 2,000 lbs mounted on a overhead trolly I Beam. (Avery please ask Roky to confirm the siz of hoist, I think they are 1 ton or 2000 lbs but they might be 1000 lbs so important to check)
  3. The lead hoist which would pick up the top of the DRUM CAGE with drum and the TAILING HOIST (rear hoist) would pick up the bottom of the DRUM CAGE and gradually dump the drum of material into the PRIMARY FEED SCREW CONVEYOR at the desired rate.
  4. PRIMARY FEED SCREW CONVEYOR would then feed the RAW MATERIAL into the TYLER HUMMER HIGH FREQUENCY SCREEN at a variable rate depending on the RAW FEED MATERIAL. (Avery pls enter bed size, I think it was a 3’x5’ but I’m not sure. You will need Roky to measure that inside. Also need the size of wire mesh on the deck). There is also a RUBBER BOOT that attaches to the FEED SCREW and the top of the DRUM to prevent fines and a rubber boot that attached to the top of the screen to prevent the powder from becoming airborn.
  5. TYLER HUMMER HIGH FREQUENCY SCREEN IS ALL STAINLESS STEEL to prevent rust and premature wear. TYLER HUMMER SCREENs are well known for accurately screening off oversize from fines and or creating a spec product of fines materials like 100 MESH -. We were using it to scalp off the 1/16th” plus from fine materials. The size finished products are controlled by the screen mesh wire installed. The HUMMER SCREEN has a DUST INCLOSURE. On our material the system contained 99% of the dust and free-floating fines. However, if your need was to have 100% dust containment that can be accomplished with a small dust collection system. In our application the OVERSIZE material was scalped off the top into a drum but could easily go into another conveyor for additional processing. The FINES fall below into a belly pan hopper that discharges into a FINAL DISCHARGE SCREW CONVEYOR which fed into SUPPER SACKS or DRUMS. The under-screen belly pan HOPPER also has a vibrating device attached to it to minimize plugging of fines.
