Item Description
This is a stainless steel braided flexible hose assembly with brass angled end fittings. The fitting is marked JIC-06 and the assembly is marked 304.
JIC refers to the SAE J514 37 degree flare connection used widely on hydraulic, fuel and instrument lines. The dash size -06 is the 3/8 inch size, which uses a 9/16-18 thread. JIC fittings seal metal to metal on the flare, so they connect without thread sealant and can be taken apart and reassembled. The 304 marking refers to type 304 stainless steel, the common grade used for hose braid, which protects the inner hose against abrasion and holds it against internal pressure.
