Item Description

Great Day Everyone. This Betts Twin CNC Vertical Boring Mill with Fanuc 18-TT control and FINCOR DC drive system has 47,586 hours. Year of manufacture is TBD. The dual ram configuration provides 4-axis simultaneous machining capability. The equipment is being released as part of a planned transition to a different product line, scheduled for end of February/beginning of March. Units cannot be picked up until then, and final release dates may vary until the client releases machines for shutdown. We have bridge cranes available to go above these units, allowing configuration into work cells of 2-6 total units or more if needed into multiple work cells. Capacities vary but are either 0.5 ton or 1 ton with varying specifications for each bridge crane (available for viewing under our Bridge Cranes category). Raised operator work platforms are also available as an optional add-on. This turnkey solution can include transformers, safety switches, reservoirs, and any accessories specific to each unit as shown. We have the capacity to sell you the entire setup: machine, electrical, platform, and bridge cranes for a complete turnkey installation.

As these units are still in active production, the tooling changes daily. Towards the decommissioning date, if specific tooling is requested, we can work with the buyer to accommodate. Chip conveyor status is TBD. We can work with international buyers, or buyers with their own shipping capabilities or crews for teardowns if desired. Otherwise, units can be transported. Transportation is not included in any prices.

Recent Repairs / Maintenance Conducted on Unit: These are from internal PM documentation and repair systems. Additional information could be added at any time.

Recent Repairs (Last 12 Months):

  • Spindle module repaired

PM Work Checklists:

  • Daily (~10 min): Guard/interlock inspection, indicator lamp check, air pressure, coolant supply and reservoir level, way lube oil level, exterior cleaning.
  • Weekly (~25 min): Coolant and hydraulic hose inspection, hydraulic fluid level, chip conveyor operation/hardware/covers (if equipped), flexible electrical conduit (if applicable).
  • Annual (21-point inspection): Spindle belts/gears/couplings, spindle runout, spindle drive system, axis backlash, ball screws/bearings, way covers/gibs, turret/ram operation and alignment, tool positions, lubrication system and grease points, hydraulic system, coolant system, air system leaks, electrical wiring/connectors, machine leveling, filters.

=== ABOUT THIS LIQUIDATION - CNC MACHINE TOOLS ===

King Surplus is not a dealer. We are an industrial asset management and liquidation firm with over 50 years of experience specializing in large-scale plant relocations and negotiated liquidations that do not fit the public auction model.

This offering is part of a coordinated, negotiated liquidation of approximately 60 CNC machine tools with extensive supporting peripheral equipment, including work platforms, conveyors, overhead cranes, and structural systems.

Our client is retooling approximately 25% of a 400,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility to support a new contract requiring a completely different class of machine tools and production processes. These machines are being sold for strategic business reasons and are not removals from failing or obsolete operations.

The liquidation is structured as a negotiated sale to allow the affected production area to be sold and cleared within a defined, short-term timeframe. Each asset offered is part of a larger, coordinated project. Additional machine tools, peripherals, and plant support equipment may be available beyond individual listings.

King Surplus manages the process from asset identification through orderly removal, providing buyers access to opportunities that rarely surface through traditional public auctions.
